Instructor l YTT 300
Hayley was introduced to the idea of yoga many times growing up, but it wasn’t until she attended her first group class as an adult in 2012 that she was hooked on the practice. She hopped around looking for deals as a student in Chicago, took a college credit course, developed a home practice, and finally moved to Muskegon and found Muskegon Yoga Center. MOGA would become her home and her sangha.
In 2017 she enrolled in Hilaire Lockwood’s 200 hour teacher training, then an additional 300 hours in 2018 for a total of 500 training hours. Hilaire taught her how to effectively teach a posture-based class and weave in bits of philosophy and theory, but more importantly Hilaire taught Hayley how to trust in her own knowledge and intuition. Hayley values humor, curiosity, safety, and diligence in her practice and teaching.
